My love for Weapons and Martial/Combative Arts began as a young boy. Training and mentoring students of all skill levels has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
That’s why I founded Top Shot’s International Weapons and Tactics Association (IWTA) – because I believe it’s time to break free from the rigid rules of the current teaching and training circuits, and reignite with what shooting and combative arts are really about: skill, adaptability, adrenaline, and community.
Older Organizations have their place, but let’s be honest – many of their training techniques and events feel stale, weighed down by the past, and expensive to participate in. What we’re building with IWTA is something entirely different. Our training and events are innovative, challenging, and fun as hell.
In real-world situations, targets (Bad Guys) are not paper and they don’t stand still. They move. You think. You react. That’s the foundation of IWTA. I want every shooter and Combative Artists who steps forward to walk away smiling, and saying: “Damn, that was a helluva day of training.”
We keep our organizational membership fees low for a reason – because training should be accessible to everyone. That doesn’t mean our training isn’t top-notch. In fact, we believe you get more bang for your buck here than anywhere else. We welcome all: young and old, men and women, newcomers and veterans. If you have the heart, there’s a place for you at IWTA.
